Envirotech operates two direct image tools manufactured by Geoprobe Systems. One is the Optical Imaging Profiler (OIP), which uses fluorescence to determine the presence of separate phase hydrocarbons (free product) in the subsurface.

Envirotech also runs the Hydraulic Profiling Tool (HPT), which determines the soil permeability on a centimeter-by-centimeter basis. This is useful when trying to determine contamination migration pathways, or the best places for remediation injections.
